PDC LESSON 2.23 DESIGN - GENERAL PROPERTY

Consider the elements on the property

  • Access and any other earthworks
  • Housing and buildings
  • Water supply
  • Energy systems
  • Specific forest, crop and animal system placement

Sectors

Wild energies that come from outside our system and pass through it such as sun, light, wind, rain, fire, and water flow will either make or break a good design.

On your garden design plan note the following factors:

  • Fire danger sectors
  • Cold or damaging winds
  • Hot, salty or damaging winds
  • Screening of unwanted views
  • Winter and summer angles
  • Reflection from ponds

·         Flood prone areas
