PDC LESSON 2.27 DESIGN – OVERFLOW OF WATER TANKS

Overflow of Water tanks are useful wet areas to grow mint and other moisture loving plants. The overflow can be utilised to grow bananas and banana circles can be planted down from the overflow. This will help to soak up all that excess water thus preventing a nuisance wet area at the same time.

You can also grow some soapwort, an herb, around the garden tap this can be handy for washing your hands with after doing some potting or gardening work.

So, there you have some design tools for your house and garden. These systems and infrastructures should be a starting point for you to make gardening and living with your garden a productive and pleasant experience. Remember, you are the manager and only you will know what your needs are. No two gardens are alike. The requirements of any given garden are unique; so, learn to observe what nature is trying to tell you. Grow what is in season and it will become easy to have healthy plants in abundance
